About Agora

We are developing the best end-to-end governance platform for crypto protocols, supporting communities like Optimism, ENS, and Uniswap to coordinate protocol upgrades, funding, and ecosystem stewardship. Our goal is to build collaboration tools accessible to everyone, even those outside crypto, so that one day, your friends can use Agora without knowing it's on Ethereum.

What you'll do

You will work on building Agora's governance applications, focusing on product development, scaling, and user experience. Collaborating closely with leadership in engineering, design, and product, you'll own features end-to-end, working on front-end, backend data management, and automation/testing.

What we are looking for

• Experience with at least three production stacks and distributed systems using object-oriented languages. Proficiency in Typescript, React, Next.js, Python, and SQL is essential.
• Understanding of Ethereum architecture and familiarity with L2 solutions.
• Ability to read Solidity code.
• Strong CS fundamentals, especially in scalable and maintainable systems.
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality, collaborative, and maintainable code.
• Ready to start contributing from day one.

Nice to Haves

• Open-source project experience.
• Expertise in crypto application design.
• Knowledge of crypto governance ecosystems (e.g., ERC20Votes).
• Experience with EVM Indexers.
• Ability to improve infrastructure through design systems and contributor-friendly practices.

Remote, distributed team with headquarters in San Francisco. Quarterly offsites held in various locations. We work during US-friendly hours (PST/EST).
