Note: The job is a remote position open to candidates in the USA. Agora operates as a cross-chain governance platform, aiming to create tools for communities to collaborate onchain. The Staff Full-Stack Engineer will focus on building governance applications and enhancing user experience while collaborating with various team leads.

Responsibilities

• Build the next generation of Agora's governance applications, focusing on product development, scaling, and user experience.
• Collaborate closely with the head of engineering, head of design, and head of product to develop and own features end-to-end.
• Work on the front-end, define backend data management, and contribute to automated testing and documentation.

Skills

• Experience with at least three production-grade stacks and distributed systems using object-oriented languages.
• Proficiency in Typescript, React, Next.js, Python, and SQL.
• Understanding of Ethereum architecture and familiarity with Layer 2 solutions.
• Ability to read Solidity code.
• Strong computer science fundamentals, especially in building scalable and maintainable systems.
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality, collaborative, and maintainable code.
• Enthusiasm to start coding from day one.
• Experience with open-source projects.
• Expertise in designing for crypto applications.
• Knowledge of the crypto governance ecosystem (e.g., ERC20Votes).
• Experience working with EVM indexers.
• Ability to improve infrastructure, such as building design systems and facilitating contributions.
