Job summary

OneMain Financial is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to drive frontend platform evolution, architecture, and engineering practices across our digital experiences. You will lead Angular-based initiatives, micro frontend design, and shared UI libraries to deliver scalable web and mobile customer experiences.

You will collaborate with Product, UX, Security, and Platform teams to set standards, improve observability, and guide technical direction across frontend ecosystems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in computer science or related field.
• 8+ years of software engineering with strong frontend focus.
• Experience delivering production customer-facing web/mobile apps.
• Deep Angular, JavaScript/TypeScript expertise.
• Experience with micro frontend architectures and shared UI platforms.
• Frontend observability, monitoring and performance optimization.
• Knowledge of analytics instrumentation and digital tracking.
• Strong API integration and distributed system understanding.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for frontend architecture and platform capabilities.
• Evolve Angular-based apps, micro frontend architecture, and shared libraries.
• Design scalable, performant customer-facing web and mobile experiences.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions with cross-team input.
• Drive observability through client-side monitoring, logging, and telemetry.
• Implement tracking, tag management, experiments, and customer journey metrics.
• Improve release processes, deployment automation, and operational readiness.
• Mentor engineers through design reviews and architecture discussions.
