Job summary

Genius AI is seeking a Staff Frontend Engineer to own the technical direction of the web platform, including shared UI frameworks, component libraries, tooling, and release infrastructure. This is a force-multiplier role designed to raise engineering velocity across all teams.

You must be commutable to our NYC office and will operate in a hybrid environment, with in-office days on Tuesdays and Thursdays. 7+ years of frontend experience with React and TypeScript, plus a track record building

Qualifications

• 7+ years of frontend engineering experience with platform-level impact.
• Deep expertise in React and TypeScript with modern frontend architectures.

Responsibilities

• Architect and drive scalable frontend components and shared libraries used by all product teams.
• Define the long-term technical direction of the web platform: framework decisions, architecture patterns, developer experience.
• Champion AI-powered development tools across the engineering org and set the standard for AI-assisted frontend engineering.
• Own frontend tooling, build pipelines, and developer workflows end to end to increase velocity.
• Set the bar for frontend best practices: code quality, accessibility, performance, Core Web Vitals, and design system consistency.
• Identify systemic problems early and drive solutions with broad impact.
• Partner with product managers, designers, and engineering teams to deliver a cohesive, high-quality web experience.
