Job summary

Vetcove, a veterinary software platform, seeks an experienced Staff Frontend Engineer to lead architecture and evolution of user-facing experiences across web and mobile. You’ll own frontend systems powering tens of thousands of veterinary professionals and millions of pet parents, shaping performance and usability at scale.

You’ll define frontend strategy, set best practices, and collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to deliver high-quality, scalable experiences.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of frontend software engineering experience.
• Strong React/React Native expertise.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS or technical field.
• Experience scaling frontend architectures and systems.
• Mentorship of engineers and project leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design, and delivery of large scale frontend applications across web and mobile.
• Build and evolve high-performance React/React Native apps.
• Define frontend best practices, performance, accessibility, and maintainability.
• Develop shared component libraries and design systems to improve velocity.
• Improve application performance, reliability, and user experience.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver cohesive features.
• Mentor junior frontend engineers.
• Influence frontend strategy across product areas.
• Debug and resolve complex frontend issues across stacks.
