Beacon AI in San Carlos, CA is seeking a Staff Frontend Software Engineer to own and lead the frontend for our aviation safety platform, delivering high-performance interfaces that turn complex aviation data into actionable insights.
You will drive frontend design, code quality, and mentorship while collaborating with backend, product, and UX/UI teams to build scalable, reliable experiences. Hybrid role; based in San Carlos with onsite days.
Qualifications
- 9+ years of experience shipping high-performance web apps.
- Deep expertise in React, TypeScript, and modern web standards.
- Experience with live and historical data streams.
- Ability to own features from concept to delivery with autonomy.
- Strong debugging, testing, and performance optimization skills.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement React-based features and frontend systems for real-time aviation data.
- Integrate, process, and visualize data from live streams and archives.
- Mentor engineers and lead code reviews.
- Collaborate with backend, product, and UX/UI for informed decisions.
- Ensure maintainable frontend systems with tests and documentation.
- Build reusable components and internal libraries to accelerate development.
