Job summary

NewtonX is seeking a Staff Frontend Engineer in the United States to own the architecture of our React/TypeScript applications and the patterns the team builds on. You’ll lead the development of performant, accessible UIs for complex research and analytics workflows, and set frontend standards in CI pipelines and reviews.

Ideal candidates have 6+ years in frontend with 3+ in senior roles, deep React/TypeScript knowledge, and a track record of owning architecture, design systems, testing, and API

Qualifications

• Experience owning frontend architecture and component libraries.
• Strong React/TypeScript skills with performance focus.
• Proven ability to ship complex UIs for data-intensive apps.
• Excellent knowledge of accessibility and testing practices.
• Experience collaborating with design systems and backend teams.

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture of React/TypeScript applications and patterns.
• Lead development of performant, accessible UIs for analytics workflows.
• Set frontend standards: performance budgets, accessibility, tests, CI gates.
• Evolve shared component library and design system with Design.
• Mentor engineers and drive department-wide technical initiatives.
