Job summary

Horizon Media in New York, NY is seeking a Senior Front End Software Engineer to design and build scalable front-end applications. You will craft modern UIs with React.js, TypeScript, and Next.js, connect to backend services, and collaborate across product, design, and backend teams to deliver secure, maintainable software.

You're expected to own front-end architecture, implement reusable components, and optimize performance in AWS environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 10+ years developing scalable front-end applications.
• Expert-level proficiency with React.js, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3.
• Experience with Next.js.
• Experience consuming and integrating REST APIs.
• Experience deploying front-end apps in AWS (Amplify, Elastic Beanstalk, CloudFront, S3, ACM).
• Strong understanding of state management patterns (Redux Toolkit, Context API, Zustand).
• Experience with Agile development.

Responsibilities

• Front-End Application Development using React.js, TypeScript, and Next.js.
• Architect reusable UI components for long-term scalability.
• Integrate with REST APIs and complex JSON data models.
• Collaborate with back-end and product teams in Agile sprints.
• Deploy and maintain front-end apps in AWS.
• Perform code reviews and promote engineering best practices.
• Troubleshoot performance and browser issues.
