Job summary

Soundxyz is seeking a Staff Frontend Engineer to shape the future of a music economy and connect fans with the music they love. You will lead technical direction while contributing as an IC on core song pages, artist tools, governance and community features.

You will mentor engineers, raise the bar on performance and accessibility, and drive frontend infrastructure. Remote-first team with global collaboration opportunities.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience writing production software.
• Live between GMT-8 and GMT-5 (North American timezones).
• Advanced knowledge of React and Typescript.

Responsibilities

• Set the technical direction for the team and help guide frontend engineering vision.
• Create delightful user experiences with performance and accessibility in mind.
• Build reusable components, write tests, and raise code quality and developer experience.
• Lead the architecting of systems and plan for scaling challenges.
• Design, build, and improve Sound’s core frontend infrastructure.
• Act as a player-coach and champion code quality and developer experience.
• Mentor and train other engineers on the team.
