Job summary

Google is seeking a Staff Software Engineer, Front End for Google Workspace in the Durham/Raleigh area. You will lead front end initiatives across Room Experience, collaborating with product and UX to define new use cases and ensure scalable, high-quality web experiences.

You will mentor teams, shape technical strategy, and drive adoption of DevAI practices, with opportunities to influence billions of users. US-based compensation includes equity and a 20% bonus target.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in software development.
• 3 years of experience with full stack development, across back-end such as Java, Python, Golang, or C++ codebases, and front-end experience including JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, CSS or equivalent.
• 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role.
• 2 years of experience in leading teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the software engineers spanning all Room Experience teams.
• Collaborate with product and UX to determine new use cases. Determine how we leverage mobile devices and sensors in the conference rooms. Design new product features to serve business use cases in the conference room.
