Job summary

Harvey, based in San Francisco, CA, seeks a Staff Software Engineer, Frontend to lead projects shaping the user experience across Assistant, Vault, Workflows, and Word/Outlook add-ins. This hybrid role includes relocation assistance for new employees.

You will build new interfaces for lawyers to collaborate with AI, own frontend features from design to launch, and craft high-performance React + TypeScript UI using TailwindCSS while mentoring peers and advancing frontend standards.

Qualifications

10+ years of experience with React, Typescript, and CSS (TailwindCSS).
Track record of building fast-growing SaaS products by leveraging modern web tech.
Strong attention to detail and ability to ship intuitive products.
Experience in startups or scaleups is a plus.

Responsibilities

Build new interfaces for lawyers to collaborate with AI.
Lead end-to-end UI features for Assistant, Vault, Workflows, and add-ins from scoping to launch.
Build polished React + TypeScript interfaces using TailwindCSS with resilient state management.
Architect reusable components and evolve our design system.
Optimize frontend performance at scale.
Collaborate with design and backend teams to shape APIs and UX for long-running jobs and tool workflows.
Mentor peers through code reviews and documentation to raise frontend standards.
