We’re partnered with a high-growth Series B startup that’s redefining local hospitality through a unique marketplace model. With over 3 million users and a roster of luxury brand partners, this company is scaling fast — and looking for a Staff Frontend Engineer to help lead that charge.

This is a high-impact, high-ownership role reporting directly to the VP of Engineering (ex-Google leadership), working on performance, architecture, and long-term scalability of a customer-facing React platform. You’ll sit at the core of product, design, and engineering – helping define the frontend direction while ensuring users have a fast, elegant experience.

The Role

1. Set and evolve the frontend architecture for a rapidly growing React application
2. Lead frontend efforts around performance, SEO, and UX optimization
3. Collaborate cross-functionally with design, product, and backend teams
4. Serve as a tech lead on high-visibility initiatives and site-wide enhancements
5. Help shape engineering culture and best practices at a pivotal stage of growth

What They’re Looking For

1. 8+ years of experience in frontend engineering (ideally with React)
2. Deep knowledge of frontend architecture, performance tuning, and web scalability
3. Promotion into a Staff Engineer role at a good company i.e. a well-funded one or within a high caliber engineering function
4. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
5. Background in recognizable product-driven or tech-first companies
6. Bonus: experience with SEO or marketplaces
