Job summary

ClickUp is seeking a Staff Frontend Engineer to lead the design and development of major frontend systems across Angular and React, and to help shape our frontend architecture for scalable product initiatives.

You will mentor engineers, drive performance improvements, and collaborate with product, design, and QA to deliver high-quality user experiences at speed in a fast-paced AI-driven environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of frontend engineering experience with Angular and React.
• Strong command of TypeScript, RxJS, NgRx, and modern frontend patterns.
• Experience building reusable component systems and scalable frontend structures.
• Deep knowledge of performance optimization and debugging for large apps.
• Cross-functional collaboration in fast-moving teams.
• Led major technical initiatives and influenced multiple teams.
• Mentored engineers and elevated frontend craftsmanship.
• Excellent communication and execution in high-urgency environments.
• Experience with unit, integration, and end-to-end testing strategies.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of complex product features and frontend systems in Angular and React.
• Partner with backend, integrations, product, design, and QA to deliver high-quality UX quickly.
• Architect scalable, reusable frontend patterns to improve quality and velocity.
• Identify and address performance bottlenecks and architecture risks.
• Drive testing, observability, code quality, and maintainability best practices.
• Influence technical decisions and guide teams under tight timelines.
• Own delivery across large initiatives and balance product needs with health.
