Job summary

Anduril Industries seeks a senior FPGA/embedded engineer to deliver robust processing solutions for communications and networking. You will drive the FPGA/firmware lifecycle from MATLAB/Simulink concepts to production for low-cost FPGAs, SoCs, and SoMs, interfacing to various peripherals.

The role requires 10+ years in FPGA design with VHDL/Verilog, C/C++, RTOS, and experience translating MATLAB/Simulink into hardware. A U.S. Secret clearance is a potential requirement of employment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
• 10+ years of experience designing, implementing, and verifying FPGA-based systems using VHDL or Verilog.
• Cross-functional hardware/embedded systems product development experience from concept to production.
• Proficient in C and C++ and familiar with RTOS.
• Experience translating MATLAB/Simulink algorithms into FPGA implementations.
• Familiarity with Ethernet, I2C, SPI, PCIe, USB interfaces.
• Knowledge of flight software architectures for embedded systems.
• Able to obtain/maintain active U.S. Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (RF, DSP, Firmware, FPGA, software, Test) to deliver embedded processing solutions.
• Lead FPGA Firmware lifecycle from MATLAB/Simulink algorithms through design, development, verification, and sustainment for FPGAs and SoMs.
• Establish and optimize product development workflows across the HDL firmware lifecycle, including architecture, simulation, verification, and system testing.
• Develop microProcessor ICDs between FPGA and message/data handling schemes.
