Job summary

Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, seeks an experienced embedded systems leader to deliver FPGA/SoC/SoM solutions. You will work with RF, DSP, firmware, and software teams to implement HDL-based designs and translate MATLAB/Simulink algorithms into hardware implementations.

The role requires a decade of FPGA experience, C/C++, RTOS familiarity, and understanding of common interfaces (Ethernet, I2C, SPI, PCIe, USB). Security clearance eligibility is required for this position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
• Experience with cross-functional hardware and embedded systems product development from concept to production.
• 10+ years designing, implementing, and verifying FPGA-based systems using VHDL or Verilog.
• Experience using code-generators to translate MATLAB/Simulink into FPGA implementations.
• Proficient in C and C++.
• Experience with RTOS.
• Familiarity with common MCU/CPU/FPGA devices and interfaces (Ethernet, I2C, SPI, PCIe, USB).
• Familiarity with flight software architectures and development processes for embedded systems.
• Proficiency with basic EE test equipment (Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generators) and PCBAs testing.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with RF, DSP, Firmware, FPGA, software, and Test teams to deliver embedded processing solutions for communications and networking.
• Lead FPGA firmware lifecycle from algorithms in Matlab/Simulink through architecture, design, implementation, testing, and sustainment for FPGAs/SoCs/SoMs.
• Establish and optimize product development workflows across the HDL firmware lifecycle, including architecture, design, simulation, verification, and testing.
• Develop microProcessor ICDs between FPGA and message/data handling schemes.
