Job summary

United Airlines is seeking a Staff Engineer for Flight Operations to design, develop and modify software for flight simulators within the FAA-approved SQMS program. This represented role may require shift changes to support a 24/7/365 operation and may include on-call duties during unplanned outages.

The position involves technical interfaces with aircraft engineering, simulator OEMs and component manufacturers, plus creating and revising electrical schematics and mechanical drawings for

Qualifications

• Requires hands-on programming experience or training.
• Experience with flight simulators or related avionics is preferred.
• Willingness to work a 24/7/365 operation including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Design, development and modification of computer software for flight simulators.
• Install and checkout avionics and simulator software changes on aircraft systems.
• Create and maintain technical documents for flight simulators and related hardware.
