Job summary

GEI Consultants, Inc. seeks a geotechnical-focused engineer-in-training to conduct field investigations, collect geotechnical data, and assist with design and documentation. You will work under supervision to produce drawings and perform calculations for civil projects.

Qualifications

• Qualified to become an exam-based Engineer-in-Training (EIT).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, PDF editing and printing.
• AutoCAD LT/E experience.
• Understanding of FE exam fundamentals.
• Experience with underground construction and civil design.

Responsibilities

• Perform geotechnical investigations and fieldwork to collect data (drilling, mapping, inspections).
• Create design and construction drawings using AutoCAD under supervision.
• Document field and office activities for project records.
• Perform design calculations using Mathcad, Excel, and geo-oriented software.
• Support project engineers and project managers.
