Job summary

LiveRamp is seeking a Staff Engineer, Technical Lead and Manager for the Identity Services team in San Francisco. You will drive technical strategy, architecture, and roadmap, while leading a high-performing engineering team to deliver high-volume, low-latency identity resolution.

The role balances hands-on coding (about 50%), mentorship, and cross-functional collaboration with Product Management and other teams to align on strategic goals and product initiatives.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of leadership experience delivering products as the technical lead.
• 9+ years of hands-on development experience with Java/JVM.
• Experience driving complex designs, high-quality API designs, and architecture improvements across teams.
• Mentoring engineers and talent identification at Staff level and above.
• Strong communicator with cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive technical strategy, architecture, and roadmap for the Identity Services team.
• Lead a high-performing engineering team and ensure delivery quality.
• Oversee day-to-day execution of high-volume, low-latency identity resolution capabilities.
• Engage in long-term product planning and stack ranking with Product Management.
• Be the primary technical liaison for Product Management and strategy alignment.
• Maintain a significant IC component (~50%) focusing on complex challenges and code quality.
