Job summary

Samsung Electronics Perú seeks a Staff Engineer I to analyze customer requirements, translate them into system designs, and support the development team in delivering 4G/5G RAN solutions. You will work across RAN/EMS, OpenStack/Kubernetes environments, and OpenDaylight-like platforms, coordinating with sales and carriers for successful deployments.

The role requires 5 years of related experience, strong problem-solving abilities, and the ability to travel up to 20% domestically.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in a related field plus 5 years’ applicable experience.
• Experience with RAN virtualization and EMS, telecom software architecture, integration, and MOPs.
• Experience with troubleshooting RAN, NMS/EMS, RCA and Tier3 support.
• Experience with virtualization tech (ETSI MANO, Orchestrator, VNF Manager, VIM, ECOMP/ONAP).
• Experience with OpenStack and container platforms; Netconf/YANG/REST APIs; 3GPP Core/RAN knowledge; High Availability.

Responsibilities

• Analyze customer requirements and convert to system requirements and detailed design.
• Aid in product performance analysis and evaluation of new product/software releases.
• Perform detailed analysis of 4G/5G distributed and virtualized RAN, NMS/EMS and professional services.
• Provide SME technical support in pre-sales and craft technical/commercial solutions.
• Collaborate with sales, carriers, logistics, and cross-functional teams for new product rollouts.
