Job summary

Physical Superintelligence in Boston seeks an engineer to build platform infrastructure at the intersection of computational science, AI systems, and software engineering. You will own developer-facing surfaces, the SDK, and the design system, delivering consistent tooling across surfaces for users, partners, and automation.

The role emphasizes shipping velocity, pragmatic engineering, and collaboration with humans and AI agents in a fast-growing AI-driven discovery space.

Qualifications

• 5+ years shipping developer-facing surfaces (SDKs/APIs or internal tools).
• Experience with React/TypeScript frontend and Python backend.
• Strong understanding of API ergonomics and error handling.
• Familiarity with design systems and component libraries.

Responsibilities

• Design and build user-facing platform surfaces across chat, SDKs, and campaign tooling.
• Own time-to-first-result metrics and reduce friction for new users.
• Develop partner-facing surfaces and ensure consistency across products.
• Contribute to a constrained design system that enables repeatable, clean code.
