Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions is seeking a Staff Engineer to lead power connector and cable-assembly development. You will drive design reviews, mentor engineers, and coordinate across global teams to deliver robust, manufacturable solutions.

Applicants should have a Master’s in engineering and 6+ years in mechanical/electro-mechanical design, with Creo and FEA experience, and a track record of successful product launches.

Qualifications

Master's degree in engineering and 6+ years in mechanical design for electrical components or cable assemblies.
Expertise in power connector design, contact systems, sealing, and strain relief.
Experience with Creo, Ansys/Workbench or similar tools and GD&T.
Strong cross-functional leadership and communication in a global environment.

Responsibilities

Lead design reviews with cross-functional teams and ensure alignment with customer expectations.
Design and validate power connectors, contact systems, sealing, and cable interfaces.
Develop DFMEA, tolerance analyses, and design for manufacturability.
Mentor engineers, drive DP/DFM initiatives, and support product launches.
