Job summary

Amphenol Power Solutions is seeking a Staff Engineer to lead product development initiatives for power connectors and cable assemblies. The role requires strategic technical leadership in mechanical/electro-mechanical design, with a focus on power connector architecture, contact systems, sealing, and cable interfaces.

You will mentor engineers, drive cross-functional collaboration, and deliver cost-effective solutions while advancing manufacturing and qualification processes across global teams.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Engineering.
6+ years in mechanical design for electrical components.
Expertise in power connectors and contact systems.
Proficient in Creo 3D CAD and GD&T.
Experience with DFMEA, validation testing, and DFx.
Strong leadership and cross-functional influence.
Excellent English communication in global teams.

Responsibilities

Lead design reviews and cross-functional alignment.
Drive cost reduction through design optimization.
Develop and validate power connectors and cable assemblies.
Create documentation, DFMEA, and qualification reports.
Mentor engineering teams and lead training.
Support manufacturing and supplier collaboration.
