Job summary

Probook, the AI operating system for home services, seeks an infrastructure leader who owns end-to-end systems. You’ll build and operate real-time decision infrastructure, agent sandboxes, and the developer platform, while ensuring reliability, observability, and scalable cloud usage.

You’ll collaborate with product engineers and customers to deliver high-impact foundational systems. The role demands 3–6 years of engineering experience with meaningful ownership, plus hands-on experience building

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of engineering experience with meaningful ownership of infrastructure you built rather than inherited.
• Zero-to-one experience: built infrastructure from scratch at a startup or stood up new systems.
• Strong infrastructure fundamentals across distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, networking, CI/CD, and observability.
• Real software engineering: infrastructure at Probook means writing code and owning complex systems end to end.
• Breadth over depth: you’d rather build new systems than operate mature ones, moving up the stack when needed.
• Judgment: know when a system deserves careful architecture and when it should be finished quickly.

Responsibilities

• Own the infrastructure behind real-time decision systems, ensuring durable execution and high performance.
• Build sandboxes, evaluation infrastructure, and harnesses for agent workflows and compute environments.
• Develop the developer platform: CI/CD, deployment, local development, and internal tooling.
• Improve reliability and observability with instrumentation, monitoring, incident response, and debugging tools.
• Manage cloud and inference costs as the footprint grows and guide capacity decisions.
• Collaborate with product engineers and customers to align infrastructure with needs.
