Western Alliance Bank is seeking a Staff Engineer II - Full Stack Developer to lead design, development, and support of secure, scalable entitlement services using Angular, .NET, and Azure.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, architecture leadership, production support, and delivering reliable solutions with strong observability and DevOps practices. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in design, coding, testing, implementation, and documentation of applications using .NET and SQL.
• Strong front-end development with Angular, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Advanced back-end development using C#, .NET Core, and RESTful API design.
• Hands-on experience with SQL data modeling for scalable systems.
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture and distributed system design.
• Experience with Azure cloud services and building cloud-native applications.
• Proficiency in DevOps practices including CI/CD, Git, and automated deployments.
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and production support in enterprise environments.
• Strong system design skills with ability to build scalable, reliable, and maintainable solutions.
• Ability to lead technical direction, mentor developers, and collaborate across cross-functional teams.
• Previous leadership experience preferred.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of general Financial Services or Banking is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and secure applications using the Angular, .NET framework and SQL Server.
• Design, implement, and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database structures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Lead the strategic planning of a project as it relates to technical solution design.
• Design and implement engineering principles aimed at reliability practices and sound recovery procedures.
• Design transaction specific application performance monitoring metrics that can be captured and passed to business partners.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system configurations and procedures while also ensuring compliance with IT policies, procedures, and industry standards. Develop desktop procedures when needed that others follow.
