Job summary

Micron Technology is seeking a Staff Engineer to lead the design and development of test vehicles for HBM programs within the DTPCO organization. You will partner with Architecture, Design, Layout, Product Engineering, Reliability, and Advanced Packaging to translate requirements into actionable test structures and validation plans.

The role emphasizes enabling learning in development by creating representative test vehicles and characterization structures to drive decisions for future HBM

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of semiconductor design and physical implementation fundamentals.
• Experience with silicon validation, characterization, data analysis, or failure investigation.
• Proficiency with demonstrating AI and AI-enabled development workflows.
• Proven ability to work effectively across multiple engineering organizations.

Responsibilities

• Lead DTPCO test vehicle design and structure development for HBM programs.
• Define and implement test structures targeting learning areas like package interaction and reliability.
• Drive test vehicle content definition, structure specs, measurement requirements, and validation objectives.
• Analyze silicon characterization results and communicate actionable recommendations to engineering teams.
• Support development of product-enveloping experimental vehicles for reuse across HBM programs.
• Lead investigations to understand design, process, and package interactions impacting product performance.
• Participate in reviews and provide recommendations to guide future test vehicle content and priorities.
• Contribute to design guidelines, protocols, and lessons learned for future development.
