Applied Research Associates, Inc. (ARA) in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a Staff Engineer with backgrounds in Mechanical or Civil Engineering or related fields to support field testing and engineering analysis.

You will work across hands-on field activities and analytical tasks to characterize weapon effects against targets, contributing to national security. You will lead small teams, analyze field data, author technical reports, and collaborate across divisions.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical or Civil Engineering or in Physics/Geophysics/Geosciences with applied engineering skillset.
• 2–4 years engineering work experience with a BS, or 1–2 years with an MS.
• Willingness and ability to obtain a DoD security clearance.

Responsabilités

• Support field testing and engineering analysis in diverse environments.
• Provide field engineering support for test prep, execution, data collection, and post-test documentation.
• Lead small teams of engineers and technicians to complete field assignments.
• Analyze field data and develop applied solutions to technical problems.
• Author technical reports and briefings, presenting results to team and customer.
• Collaborate technically within the team, with other groups in the division, and across ARA.
• Engage in client interactions requiring multitasking and professional communication.
