Applied Research Associates, Inc. (ARA), Test Technology Division's Hard Target Mechanics group is seeking a Staff Engineer with a background in Mechanical or Civil Engineering or related fields to support tests that characterize weapon effects against various targets.

You will engage in hands-on field engineering as well as engineering analysis. This role involves leading small teams, analyzing field data, writing technical reports, and presenting results to the team and customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's-level degree in engineering or physics with strong applied engineering skills.
• 2–4 years of engineering work experience for BS, or 1–2 years with MS.
• Ability to obtain a DoD security clearance.
• Experience with field testing and data collection is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Support field testing and engineering analysis.
• Lead small teams of engineers and technicians to complete field assignments.
• Analyze data collected in the field and develop applied solutions to technical problems.
• Author technical reports and briefings, and present results to the team and customer.
• Collaborate with internal groups and other divisions within ARA.
