Job summary

Quince, a San Francisco-based company, seeks an experienced frontend leader to own end-to-end storefront experiences from discovery to post-purchase surfaces. You will guide architecture and delivery, collaborating with product, design, and data science to shape roadmaps and drive scalable, high-quality outcomes.

Lead standards across storefront code, improve performance and observability, and mentor senior engineers in a fast-paced startup.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of full-stack web development with high-traffic commerce or consumer web surfaces.
• Strong expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript and React; SSR frameworks like Next.js a plus.
• Experience building reliable distributed web applications at scale.
• Proven ability to drive large technical initiatives end-to-end and mentor engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end technical design and delivery for major storefront initiatives from architecture through production.
• Partner with product, design and data science to shape roadmaps and translate goals into scalable plans.
• Drive standards and consistency across storefront code for performance, observability, testing and maintainability.
• Identify and resolve systemic engineering gaps before incidents occur.
• Mentor and grow senior engineers through design reviews, code reviews, pairing, and coaching.
• Define and drive adoption of best practices in frontend architecture, API design, and experimentation.
