Job summary

Marotta Controls, Inc. in Parsippany, NJ, seeks an Electrical Engineer II to design and mature electronic systems for aerospace and military applications, including missiles and smart munitions. You will lead circuit design, analyses, fabrication support, and testing to deliver qualified, producible hardware.

This role requires a Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical Engineering, 5–10 years in aerospace circuit design, and experience with analog, power, control and digital electronics. U.S.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 5–10 years of experience designing electrical circuits in aerospace.
  • New Product Development experience in aerospace/military industry.
  • Ability to effectively communicate, plan, organize work in one or more projects concurrently.
  • Experience in designing and testing analog, power, control and digital circuits.
  • Experience with electric motor drives preferred.
  • Strong documentation and writing skills.
  • Ability to work closely with a team of engineers and technicians and comfortable in laboratory environment.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
  • Must be a US Citizen.

  • Choosing a design architecture that meets the performance, EMI, reliability, and cost targets.
  • Detailed design and analysis of the electronic control units to be compliant with requirements.

  • Interfacing with the project team and customer(s).
  • Generate/review technical specifications and reports to satisfy internal and external deliverables.
  • Perform breadboard level tests on new development products.
  • Mentor junior level electrical engineers.

Staff Engineer, Electrical

Overview

Marotta Controls is looking for an Electrical Engineer II to join our world-class team of engineers. The team is responsible for designing and developing Marotta products for aerospace and military weapon systems, which includes missiles, guided rockets, smart munitions, and more. Specifically, the Electrical Engineer will be responsible for electronic system circuit design, analyses, fabrication management, test, and hands‑on work required to mature hardware into a qualified and producible product.   • This job interacts both in a professional office environment and a manufacturing/machine shop environment. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines, as well as environments inclusive of the appropriate eye, hearing and foot protection (as required).
  • This is a full-time position. Overtime and weekend work may be required, as job duties demand.

This position is at our Parsippany, NJ office location.

Pay Range:$137,000 to 150,000

Your employment, both initially and continually thereafter, is conditioned on production of such proof of citizenship and/or any export license that may be required to comply with any and all applicable laws, regulations, or executive orders, or required by Federal, State, or local government contracts.
