Job summary

Midstate Electric Cooperative, Inc. seeks a Staff Engineer to provide professional engineering support for planning, design, construction, operation, and maintenance of electric transmission, distribution, and substation systems.

You will apply established engineering principles to ensure reliability, safety, regulatory compliance, and cost-effective service to Members. Responsibilities include planning analysis, long-range plans, system studies, load-flow and voltage analysis, protection

Qualifications

PE preferred
Experience in electric utility engineering (distribution, transmission, or substations)
Familiarity with system modeling and engineering software tools
Knowledge of SCADA systems and protective device coordination
Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills

Responsibilities

Support planning, analysis, design for overhead, underground, transmission, distribution, and substation facilities.
Assist in long-range plans, construction work plans, and system studies.
Perform system modeling (load flow, voltage analysis, protection coordination).
Provide technical support to Operations during routine work, outages, and restoration.
Maintain and document distribution system model and engineering records.
