Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking staff engineers to gain exposure to geotechnical investigations, materials testing programs, forensic assignments, and report writing under the supervision of licensed professional engineers. This role offers hands-on learning on projects from building pads to heavy industrial programs.

You will rotate through field drilling, lab data review, and draft geotechnical and materials reports, while coordinating field crews and progressing toward PE licensure

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering or related field required.
• EIT certification or exam date scheduled required.
• Willingness to work in field on construction sites and be field-ready.
• Clear technical writing and communication skills.
• Interest in geotechnical, materials, or forensic practice.

Responsibilities

• Plan and observe drilling and field testing programs.
• Reduce and review laboratory data.
• Draft geotechnical and materials reports.
• Support forensic investigations, coring programs, and distress evaluations.
• Coordinate field crews and laboratory scheduling on assigned projects.
• Progress toward PE licensure with mentorship and exam support.
