Qualifications

• 10+ years of engineering experience with ownership of large-scale distributed systems.
• Deep knowledge of queueing and async architectures, delivery semantics, ordering, backpressure, idempotency.
• Expert-level depth in Redis or comparable in-memory systems and their failure modes.

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture health of a billion-scale distributed system, including failure modes, capacity limits, and interactions across deployments.
• Approve critical-path designs and advocate merit-based decisions.
• Proactively identify gaps and drive fixes before incidents occur.

• Own the architecture health of a billion-scale distributed system, its failure modes, capacity limits, consistency guarantees, and interactions between 50+ deployments.
• Approve critical-path designs, making your case on merit when disagreements arise.
• Hunt gaps proactively and drive fixes before they become incidents.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of engineering experience with deep, hands-on ownership of large-scale distributed systems.
• Deep command of queueing and async architectures, delivery semantics, ordering, backpressure, idempotency.
• Expert-level depth in Redis or comparable in-memory systems and their failure modes.
