Job summary

Opsin is seeking a Staff backend engineer to help build and scale our GenAI security product. You’ll play a critical role in shaping the platform, architecting systems, and making major technology decisions the team will rally around.

You will collaborate closely with the founding team and product team to deliver enterprise data‑driven services, leveraging LLM and ML advances. Hybrid work in San Jose, CA, with equity and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in a core software engineering team, shipping scalable software.
• 2+ years in a technical leader role.
• Strong backend and systems engineering fundamentals.
• Experience building enterprise data-driven services.
• Familiarity with the latest LLM and ML advancements.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and solve complex technical challenges collaboratively.
• Desirable: Python, SQL, cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Desirable: Cybersecurity, data security, and allied domains.

You’ll play a critical role in shaping our AI-driven security platform, architecting systems, and making major technology decisions the team will rally around. You will collaborate closely with the founding team and product team.

Your Experience &Skills

• 8+ years in a core software engineering team, shipping scalable software
• 2+ years in a technical leader role
