Job summary

Micron Technology is seeking a Staff ASIC Design Verification Engineer to join the ASIC Verification and Emulation group. You will architect and develop advanced verification environments for complex SoC components, ensuring one-time, best-in-class quality and on-time delivery.

The role requires deep verification expertise, collaboration with architecture, firmware and design teams, and hands-on development of testbenches and coverage. Strong communication and team skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • B.S. in electrical engineering, computer science or equivalent with extensive industry experience.
  • 6–8 years of deep verification exposure.
  • Experience with RTL debugging, scoreboarding and code coverage analysis.
  • Proven expertise with writing and tracking detailed test-plans at all levels.

Responsibilities

  • Define, develop, debug and improve new verification environments, methodologies and flows.
  • Develop test benches, verification plans, test plans and coverage for complex IPs, sub-systems and SoCs.
  • Interact with architecture, firmware and design teams to debug and resolve critical issues.

Job Description

Staff technical member of Micron’s ASIC Verification and Emulation group. The candidate will have a key role in architecture and development of advanced verification environments for complex SoC components, while ensuring on time, one time best-in-class quality.

Job Responsibilities
  • Able to define, develop, debug and improve new innovative Design verification environments, methodologies and flows
  • Relevant and hands‑on experience with development of test benches, verification plans, test‑plans and coverage definitions for complex IPs, sub‑systems and SoCs
  • Capable of interacting with architecture, firmware and design teams to debug and resolve critical issues
Job Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
  • Education: B.S. in electrical engineering, computer science or equivalent with extensive industry experience
  • 6–8 years of deep verification exposure
  • Experience with RTL debugging, scoreboarding and code coverage analysis
  • Proven expertise with writing and tracking detailed test‑plans at all levels.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Hands‑on experience with DDR, PCIe/NVMe or NAND interfaces is an advantage
  • Expert level with System‑Verilog and UVM methodologies; familiarity with C is an advantage
  • Exposure to gen‑AI tools (Claude‑Code, others) is an advantage
  • Exposure to emulation is an advantage

  • Good written and oral communication.
  • Team player, adaptable, dynamic and with great interpersonal communication skills.
Salary

US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full‑time position: $145,000.00 – $286,000.00 a year.
