Job summary

WestLAND Group, Inc. seeks a Staff Engineer in Land Development to support civil design tasks and collaborate with Project Engineers and Managers on multiple assignments.

The role emphasizes preparation of plans, research of code issues with agencies, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders while delivering quality deliverables on schedule. Minimum qualifications include a BS in Civil Engineering, EIT preferred, 1+ year land development experience, and AutoCAD Civil 3D

• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare plans, specifications, and reports as directed by Project Engineer/Manager.
• Research code issues and coordinate with city, county, and state agencies.
• Assist with duties assigned by Project Engineers/Managers, including utility research and plan production.
• Perform civil design calculations, sketches, and technical studies as required.
• Coordinate project assignments and deadlines with internal and external stakeholders.

The Position: A Staff Engineer will perform entry-level and routine aspects of engineering assignments. As well as support Project Engineers and Project Managers in multiple engineering tasks.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or a related field,
• E.I.T. Certification preferred but not required,
• 1+ years civil engineering design experience, specializing in Land Development preferred,
• Ability to produce drawings, layouts, sketches, maps, and graphics in AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Excellent technical and communication skills,
• Ability to work on several concurrent projects,
• Ability to commit to occasional unforeseen and demanding deliverable schedules.
