Job summary

Bloomfield Township is seeking a qualified engineer to perform a variety of duties related to the planning and construction of public infrastructure, including water mains, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, drainage, roads, and safety paths.

The role includes site plan review and management of all private development projects in the Township, liaison with developers to implement improvements, and coordination with utility companies for private utility construction in public right‑of‑ways.

Compensation: Starting Salary - $85,507.59

Job Description

Performs a variety of engineering duties associated with the planning and construction of public and private infrastructure, including, but not limitedto: water main, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, drainage, roads, and safety path. Involved in the site plan review and management of all private development projects in the Township. Liaison with developers to implement the infrastructure improvements for new residential and commercial development and liaison with utility companies for private utility construction in the public roadright‑of‑ways. Provide technical support in the operation of the department and to other Township departments as required.

Compensation: Union contract contains mechanisms for annual salary increases and advancement.
