Job summary

Bloomfield Township is seeking an engineer to perform a variety of duties in planning and constructing public and private infrastructure, including water mains, sewers, drainage, roads, and safety paths.

You will liaise with developers and utility companies, participate in site plan reviews, and provide technical support to township departments as required. Compensation and advancement are governed by the union contract.

Responsibilities

• Water main, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, drainage, roads, and safety path infrastructure planning and construction.
• Site plan review and management of private development projects within the Township.
• Liaison with developers to implement infrastructure improvements for new residential and commercial development.
• Liaison with utility companies for private utility construction in public road rights-of-way.
• Provide technical support in the operation of the department and to other Township departments as required.
