Job summary

CES Consultants is seeking a Staff Engineer for their Miami Office. The role involves creating design plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D and managing project schedules under the guidance of senior engineers.

Job description

Position Title: Staff Engineer
Location: Miami Office – In-office with occasional travel to other sites
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary Range: $65,000 – $95,000 annually
Work Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM

Position Overview

The Staff Engineer is responsible for following the direction of the team leader of a project, creating design plans utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D, preparing permitting applications, developing engineering calculations, and monitoring project schedules. The Project Engineer will be provided with a budget for hours for each project and is expected to manage their time to meet the budgeted hours. The Project Engineer will take directions for the project team leader, engineer of record, and direct supervisor.

Responsibilities
  • Assist Engineering Team in preparing schedules and budgets.
  • Develop and prepare engineering design plans (blueprints) under guidance of a seasoned engineer.
  • Prepare specifications for projects under guidance of a seasoned engineer.
  • Ensure the project's compliance with applicable codes, practices, policies, performance standards, and specifications.
  • Participate in weekly progress meetings and update team leader on project progress.
Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree in engineering (Civil, Environmental, Mechanical or Structural).
  • Understanding of permitting procedure and regulatory requirements for specific engineering discipline.
  • Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in engineering, design, or construction.

  • Microsoft Office Suite

  • ICPR (Preferred)
