Job summary

NexusOne is building a converged data platform for the AI era, headquartered in Atlanta, with a team across the US and India. We are seeking a senior engineering leader who will set technical direction across multiple teams and drive architecture, code quality, testing, and operational rigor.

You will mentor senior engineers, shape roadmaps with product and leadership, and contribute code when it matters. This role sits at the intersection of cloud, data, and AI innovation, offering a

Qualifications

• Track record of technical leadership at scale (Staff/Principal level or equivalent).
• Strong systems thinking; able to move between architecture and tough bugs.
• Excellent communication; able to influence without formal authority.
• Bias toward pragmatic solutions over perfection.
• Genuine curiosity and a history of continuous learning.

• Setting technical direction across a domain or set of teams, not just a single codebase.
• Diving into the hardest, most ambiguous problems and driving them to clean solutions.
• Raising the bar on engineering practices—architecture, code quality, testing, and operational rigor.
• Mentoring senior engineers and helping them grow into the next stage of their careers.
• Partnering closely with product and engineering leadership to shape roadmaps and technical strategy.
• Writing code when it matters, and knowing when not to.

Qualifications

• A track record of technical leadership at scale, ideally with Staff/Principal-level experience (or Senior engineers clearly operating at that level).
• Strong systems thinking—you can zoom out to architecture and zoom into a gnarly bug with equal ease.
• Excellent communication; you can influence without relying on authority.
• A bias toward pragmatic solutions over perfect ones.
• Genuine curiosity and a track record of continuous learning.
