QuidelOrtho is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for Embedded Systems to join their R&D Software Engineering team. This role involves leading the design, development, and integration of high-quality embedded software across various diagnostic platforms.

With a focus on collaboration and technical leadership, the ideal candidate will have extensive experience in C/C++ programming and embedded systems, contributing to a healthier future through innovation in diagnostics.

This position is remote eligible, with a preference for candidates local to San Diego, CA.

Qualifications

• 10 years of related experience as a software engineer designing and supporting development of complex embedded systems.
• Experience developing software for low-power systems across multiple processor architectures.
• Commitment to the effectiveness of the QuidelOrtho Quality Management System.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of software components and subsystems.
• Develop and review code to implement new functionality.
