Job summary

Lockheed Martin is seeking a Software Engineer to develop embedded software and integrate features into C/C++ applications in a large defense program. You will plan and coordinate development activities, design and test software solutions, and apply hardware/software knowledge to mission critical systems.

The role is onsite in Grand Prairie, Texas, with a strong emphasis on collaboration across multiple programs and continuous improvement in a matrix engineering environment.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Active Secret clearance with investigation in last 5 years.
• Embedded software development experience.
• Experience working with HW/SW and testing in HWIL.
• Linux/Xilinx tool suite.
• C++ and/or C computer language.

Responsibilities

• Develop Embedded Software.
• Integrate features/algorithms into C/C++ applications.
• Plan, conduct, and coordinate software development activities.
• Design, develop, document, test, and debug software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems.
• Apply knowledge of computer hardware and software to develop software.
• Correct program errors and prepare operating instructions; analyze system capabilities.
