Job summary

Stack AV seeks a Staff Embedded Software Engineer to lead the design, development, and validation of software for the safety-critical embedded platform of our autonomous vehicle system. You will architect firmware interfacing with sensors, compute modules, and the base vehicle to ensure deterministic and safe behavior.

Qualifications

• Expertise in C++ for embedded safety-critical systems.
• Strong understanding of real-time operating systems (e.g. FreeRTOS, SafeRTOS).
• Experience with safety standards such as ISO 26262, DO-178C, IEC 61508, IEC 62304.
• Proven technical leadership in small teams.
• Experience in HAL and BSP development for embedded hardware.
• Knowledge of CAN and Ethernet in automotive contexts.
• Experience taking a product through production and maintaining it for customers.

Responsibilities

• Develop scalable, real-time embedded software architectures for autonomous vehicle platform.
• Mentor team members and conduct code reviews to ensure quality.
• Ensure safety-critical software adheres to safety guidelines and fault handling.
• Coordinate tasks to meet deadlines and deliverables.
