Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of hands-on development experience in C/C++.
• Experience developing software for Linux, Android, and QNX.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and large-scale data pipelines.
• Experience designing or operating fleet management or large distributed coordination services.
• Familiarity with vehicle protocols (UDS, CAN, SOME/IP, XCP).

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain the on-vehicle control plane that retrieves configuration from the cloud and applies it across the vehicle's ECUs.
• Design, implement, and maintain the on-vehicle data plane that collects, processes, and forwards data to cloud storage.
• Optimize control and data planes for reliable data egress and configuration delivery over intermittent connectivity with minimal CPU/memory footprint.
• Integrate with cloud services such as Azure, AWS S3, and Firestore for configuration delivery and device state reporting.
• Collaborate with DevOps and Cloud teams to roll out on-vehicle software and configuration safely.
• Instrument software with observability to monitor the fleet and diagnose production issues.
• Contribute to open-source projects by reporting issues and submitting patches.
• Drive the technical direction for managing thousands of vehicles from a single control plane, including versioning, identity, and remote diagnostics.
• Mentor teammates and support team growth.
• Promote best practices within the software community.
