Ford Motor Company seeks a Staff Embedded Software Engineer to architect and develop the foundational software platform powering automotive ECUs. You will lead the design of real-time drivers, RTOS configurations, and platform middleware, while driving safety and quality standards across the team.

In this role you will build low-level drivers, memory layouts, and networking stacks (CAN, LIN, Ethernet, SPI, I2C), mentor engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure

Qualifications

• B.S./M.S. in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related STEM field.
• Hands-on Embedded C with MISRA C coding standards.
• Experience with ISO 26262 functional safety processes.

Responsibilities

• Define architecture and roadmap for real-time drivers, embedded RTOS configuration, and platform middleware.
• Develop low-level embedded drivers and middleware for hardware peripherals.
• Architect and implement networking stacks (CAN, LIN, automotive Ethernet, SPI, I2C).
• Embed safety principles into platform software and mentor engineers.
