Job summary

A defense technology company based in Costa Mesa is seeking a Firmware Engineer. In this role, you'll develop low-level firmware/software for various products, take ownership of embedded firmware projects, and mentor other engineers. The ideal candidate will have a BS or MS in a relevant field and expertise in C coding for embedded systems. Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits package offered.

Qualifications

• Candidate must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information.
• Must have experience developing firmware in bare-metal and/or RTOS environments.
• Extensive experience with common bus protocols such as USB, SPI, I2C, etc.

Responsibilities

• Develop low-level firmware/software for microcontrollers.
• Take full ownership of design, implementation and completion of embedded firmware projects.
• Contribute to team direction, policy, and guidance.

Skills

Expert level C coding ability for embedded systems

Debugging skills with JTAG, SWD, Oscilloscopes, and Logic analyzers

Broad experience with one or more microcontroller cores

Education

BS or MS in CS/CE/EE or equivalent industry experience
