Job summary

Stord is building the operating system for modern supply chain, powering order routing, warehouse management, and transportation for brands that do over $10B in annual commerce. This Staff Engineer role is the technical anchor for a high-throughput Elixir stack and a core contributor to the Principal Engineering community.

Qualifications

4+ years of Elixir/Phoenix/OTP development in production.
Staff-level technical leadership with ownership of features end-to-end.
Experience designing distributed, high-throughput systems.
Strong SQL skills and data modeling with PostgreSQL.
Experience with GCP, Docker, and Kubernetes.
Proficiency in AI-assisted development tools.

Responsibilities

Lead technical direction for Elixir systems powering order routing and warehouse ops.
Architect scalable, fault-tolerant services using OTP supervision trees.
Mentor engineers and drive cross-team technical initiatives.
Collaborate with AI Platform teams for agentic workflows.
Ensure reliability, observability, and security in production.
