Job summary

Rivian and Volkswagen Group Technologies seeks an experienced engineer to own the verification and validation of ECU electronics, including Infotainment, Telematics, and ADAS. You will validate modules under environmental stress and work with cross‑functional teams to ensure testability and reliability for mass production.

You will lead test plans, analyze coverage, and present DFT results while coordinating resources and schedules with engineering and management.

Qualifications

• BS/MS or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in electronics characterization and validation testing.
• Hands-on experience in design verification and validation testing.
• Experience using lab instrumentation like oscilloscopes, power supplies, electronic loads, digital multimeters, etc.
• Experience operating thermal chambers and vibration tables.
• Experience in data analysis and report generation.
• Preferred: Databricks or similar environment and automated test equipment.

• Lead the execution of validation test plans according to project milestones (DVP&R, PVP&R) to ensure the reliability of the design for mass production
• Own test coverage reports and analysis
• Provide early feedback to design engineers regarding design decisions and their testability
• Develop and present Design for Testability (DFT) reports for ECU designs
• Plan and lead technicians during the durability, electrical, and functional validation testing for component-level testing of ECUs
• Coordinate test resources and own validation schedules to communicate status with upper management and cross-functional teams
• Lead the cross-functional effort to root cause non-compliance test results during validation cycles by leveraging data analysis to identify and address underlying issues

Role Summary

In this role, you’ll be part of the team responsible for functional validation and testing of Rivian and Volkswagen Group’s electronic control units (ECUs) including telematics, infotainment, battery management, ADAS, and zonal Electronic Control Units (ECUs).

You’ll be an individual contributor with a crucial role owning the verification and validation of Infotainment, Telematics, and ADAS vehicle electronics. You’ll work cross-functionally to ensure that our electronics are designed to meet module-level requirements under environmental stress (thermal extremes, shock/vibe, humidity, fault injection, etc).

• Develop detailed design verification and validation test plans for Infotainment, Telematics, or ADAS ECU programs.
