Job summary

SoloPoint Solutions, Inc. is seeking an experienced PCB Layout Engineer to design and optimize complex multilayer PCBs for high-reliability electronics. The role focuses on routing, stackups, impedance control, and production release packaging.

You will collaborate with electrical, mechanical, firmware, test and manufacturing teams to ensure manufacturability and robust performance across analog, digital and high-speed boards. Experience with prototype builds and DFx is valued.

Qualifications

• AA degree, BSEET, or equivalent in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience laying out complex multilayer PCBs for commercial/industrial electronics.
• Advanced proficiency with Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro, or comparable PCB layout platforms.
• Expertise in multilayer PCB layout across analog, digital, mixed-signal, high-speed and power designs.
• Experience with SI/PI, EMI/EMC mitigation, stackup definition, and DFM/DFA methodologies.
• Experience creating Gerber/ODB++ files, fabrication drawings, and assembly docs.
• Prototype support and issue resolution during system bring-up.
• Experience with high-reliability electronic systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create and optimize PCB layouts for complex multilayer boards, routing, stackups, controlled impedance, and release prep.
• Apply SI, PI, EMI/EMC design practices for performance and reliable power delivery.
• Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, firmware, test, and manufacturing teams to translate requirements into manufacturable designs.
• Generate production release packages, maintain libraries, ensure footprint accuracy and design consistency.
• Support prototype builds, resolve layout issues, and address DFM/DFA requirements with vendors.

• 5+ years of experience laying out complex multilayer PCBs for commercial, industrial, or related electronic products.
• Advanced proficiency with Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro, or comparable PCB layout platforms.
• Strong expertise in multilayer PCB layout, including analog, digital, mixed-signal, high-speed, and power board design.
• Hands-on experience applying signal integrity, power integrity, EMI/EMC mitigation, stackup definition, and DFM/DFA methodologies.
• Experience creating manufacturing release packages including Gerber files, ODB++ files, fabrication drawings, and assembly documentation.
• Experience supporting prototype builds and resolving PCB layout issues during system bring-up.
• Experience with semiconductor equipment, industrial automation, or other high-reliability electronic systems preferred.
