Job summary

BD is seeking a Senior Manager, Engineering R&D (Sustaining) to lead a team responsible for lifecycle management and continuous improvement of legacy products. You will guide sustaining initiatives, DFx projects, cost reduction, and supplier changes while ensuring regulatory compliance.

You will oversee design controls, develop talent, and collaborate with Quality, Regulatory, Operations, and Supply Chain to deliver operational excellence and long-term business growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in related field and related engineering experience required.
• Demonstrated track record in management of technical and/or engineering disciplines.
• Experience in a regulated industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead team of engineers for sustaining R&D and product maintenance initiatives.
• Identify risks and drive mitigating strategies with cross-functional teams.
• Approve design development plans, verifications and validations.
• Develop talent and coach team members; manage performance.
• Collaborate with Quality, Regulatory, Operations and Supply Chain.
