Form Energy is hiring a Senior Electrical Engineer for the Test Infrastructure Team in Somerville, Massachusetts. In this role you will be responsible for the design and delivery of test equipment that enables the execution of critical tests across our iron‑air battery systems and supporting hardware.

Qualificações

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in electrical design and/or test equipment development (battery/energy systems a plus).
• Proficiency with eCAD tools (Altium, AutoCAD Electrical, E-Plan).
• Experience designing control panels to UL508A standards.
• Experience specifying electronic test hardware (PLC IO cards, power supplies, circuit protection).
• Strong problem-solving, communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and deploy custom test equipment used in the electrical testing of battery hardware and software.
• Modify existing designs to accommodate new requirements and test objectives.
• Create electrical schematics for complex test systems including control panels, test racks, PCBA, harnesses.
• Collaborate with mechanical engineers on test stand form factors for operability and safety.
• Ensure designs meet safety, reliability, and compliance standards for high-power systems.
• Document test system designs, usage guidelines, and validation procedures.
• Support troubleshooting, maintenance, and continuous improvement of deployed test infrastructure.
